Laboratory Accreditation Bodies

Calibration and Testing Laboratory Accreditation is often used as a basis for qualifying calibration & testing laboratories under ISO 9001:2000, sec. 7.4.1. To my knowledge, the only private sector calibration and laboratory accreditation bodies in the world reside in the U.S. However, many of these organizations are fully recognized through their participation in national or international mutual recognition agreements.
